PART-TIME OPERATIONS ASSISTANT

Littleton Community Center (LCC) seeks a personable, organized, and digitally capable Operations Assistant to help keep our historic community building running smoothly and welcoming to the public.

This part-time role is for someone who enjoys working with people and is confident using technology. The OA will respond to inquiries, coordinate room use and rentals, help users access the building, maintain records, support Board-directed activities, and keep website and social media information current.

A strong candidate will combine excellent customer service and communication skills with practical computer skills and the ability to learn new software independently. The work involves Microsoft Word or Google Docs, spreadsheets, Little Green Light, website-management tools, Facebook, Instagram, Canva, and scheduling software. Experience with every application is not required, but comfort learning digital tools and solving routine problems is essential.

The OA will work with renters, tenants, volunteers, vendors, and Board members, providing a friendly and professional first point of contact. Duties also include routine building checks, light tidying of public areas as needed, rental paperwork and payments, and administrative support for LCC activities.

Schedule and compensation:
Approximately 15–18 hours per week, with an agreed schedule of weekday on-site hours so the Community Center can be open to the public for limited hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may be needed.
Starting wage is $20 per hour for all time worked, plus a separate daily per diem for assigned days carrying the LCC cell phone and remaining available during agreed hours. The per diem amount and phone schedule will be agreed upon separately.

The position reports to the Executive Committee of LCC’s Board of Trustees. The first six months are a probationary period, with a performance evaluation at six months and annual appraisals thereafter.

Applicants should have reliable transportation, strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and the ability to learn LCC’s systems with limited ongoing technical assistance.
